Akron Art Museum Gardens
After a massive expansion of the Akron Art Museum in downtown Akron, Ohio in 2017, an adjacent surface parking lot was slated for transformation into a green area for visitors and artists alike. The Bud and Susie Rogers Garden consists of a series of terraced spaces with gentle ramps, open plazas, and wooded bosques, creating a naturally contemplative area in the midst of its urban surroundings. Kafka Granite supplied Salt & Pepper Granite Stabilized Pathway Mix for several striking areas of the garden, producing a stable yet soft and pleasingly textural experience.
Kafka’s Stabilized Pathway Mix creates a firm, durable surface that is ADA compliant, while retaining water permeability and a natural look and feel.
